I met up with this little love and her family a couple of weeks ago at Catigny. She warmed up pretty quickly and we had the best time exploring the park!

I’m in LOVE with her outfit….in awe of how well the colors photograph!

Thanks again, “R” family! I enjoyed our session so much!
I met up with this little guy and his family a couple of weeks ago at Lilacia Park in Lombard. You probably recognize that handsome smile from photos over the last year. I’ve had so much fun capturing all of his milestones!

He has such a great smile!

These two are literally growing up before my very eyes. Every couple of months I drag them out after they get home in hopes of getting a keeper or two. About every other time I do this, I realize they don’t look the same as they did a few sessions ago, and it makes my heart hurt…if only I could find a way to stop time….

I got to spend a Saturday morning with these two a couple of weeks ago! This little family was just the sweetest and I wanted to share a few pictures from their session here on the blog!

Enjoy! Thank you “Z” family!
I met up with this family a week or so ago and can’t get over how sweet they all were.

I couldn’t help but smile as I edited this session as it brought back memories and thoughts of what I know as the first family photos after we adopted my little sister. My mom in a chocolate brown jumper and a perfectly shaped ‘bob’ cut. My dad in a suit, loosely tied tie and his classic smirk. My sister (at age 2) wore a dress I wore in my one year photos, it was a pink sweater dress with a green belt and she had the cutest blonde bob haircut. I love that photo….even though I was only four the photo conjures up my first memories of Kim coming home with us, our fun baths with bath paint, having a friend to play with and to talk to.

I hope “M” & “G” know what a blessing their little sister is and I hope that they will look back on these photos with the same nostalgic fondness that I have for my first family photos!

Enjoy “H” family!

This beautiful little darling came to see me a few weeks ago for her first birthday shoot! I first photographed her as a newborn and she has grown into the most gorgeous little girl!

Purple is DEFINITELY her color!

Big Sis sat with her for a few pictures too….

Mom and Dad came along as well!
This will be a quick little post. The weather has been PERFECT these last couple weeks, bringing forth the most lush grass I’ve seen since…well, last spring! Forsythia is in bloom and absolutely gorgeous…I just had to use it as a backdrop before the blooms give way to green leaves.

Cate and I even headed out to my favorite little spot in our neighborhood to search for good light…we found a little patch and snapped some shots. She’s such a good sport!

Today’s weather was a bit chilly relatively, but the week is only supposed to warm up and I’m hopeful for another chance to take in the new life all around us!
Enjoy!
I’ve said this a dozen times, but it couldn’t be more true! I LOVE this age. I loved this age with my two girls and I LOVE to photograph babies around their 6 month mark! They are smiley and happy and not quite mobile enough to get away from me yet.

His mom and dad, happily got in a few pictures themselves. Such a beautiful family!

Thanks for spending the morning with me “T” family! Was great to meet you and capture such a fun time in your first year as a family!

I’m digging the time change this week….I’m likely the only one, but today was beautiful and while I spent 8-5 indoors, when the kids came home we headed to my favorite spot to take pictures. The light was gorgeous as usual and this is a first….there were no bribes used in the making of these photographs.
As I edited these, I can’t get over how much older they look. Time goes too fast and they are turning into young ladies before my very eyes…..
Enjoy!

Can’t believe this baby girl is one! She was one of my very first newborns last year and holds a special place in my heart. I must say she’s grown into quite a smart, funny & beautiful little love!
Mom and I went to high school together and it’s been great to catch up and reconnect!
See how cute! This is baby girl at just a few days old…..

And now she is on the move and repeating all sorts of fun words! She told me my camera was “cool” and we became fast friends!
We met up last fall along Lake Michigan and I loved the images from that shoot. Such a great family! They are so natural in front of the camera and make my job so easy!

Thanks again for such a fun afternoon, “B” family! Enjoy!
